Kïdo Home is offering free trial classes for Houston parents to directly experience its renowned curriculum through live, interactive, virtual classes
Kïdo, a distinguished international pre-school program founded by a group of parents with the mission to build a high quality, 21st century learning experience, announces the launch of Kïdo Home, a virtual learning platform specific to distance learning needs and opportunities for ages 2-6. After pivoting from in person to virtual learning in countries hit earliest by Covid-19, Kïdo Home is delivered through online small group classes led by trained and qualified instructors. Kïdo Home meets the specific needs of the youngest learners improving development and fostering independent learning.
Kïdo Home is adapted from the Kïdo Early Years Program, a blend of Waldorf Steiner, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori methodologies – the curriculum has been recognized for fostering imagination, social wellbeing, motor skills and creativity in students. The structured, year long Kïdo Home curriculum has carefully curated the content from the early years program and lends itself well to an online, interactive delivery to achieve milestone based learning objectives. Kïdo Home’s key features include, interactive touchscreen literacy and math modules, weekly one-on-one sessions with accredited and experienced instructors, and monthly home activity engagement kits covering art, STEM, literacy and physical development to complement online learning. Throughout the journey, parents can expect ongoing communication through weekly updates and monthly assessments covering the child’s progress.
“We saw the need to provide a high-quality, affordable and engaging virtual learning platform months ago when the pandemic was impacting our pre-schools in Hong Kong,” said Deepanshu Pandita, U.S. CEO of Kïdo. “We’ve conducted in depth research that showcases the importance of investing in early childhood education, what the right amount of screen time is and how to keep children engaged remotely. The success and positive feedback we’ve seen with Kïdo Home internationally, opened our eyes to the gap in the market and misconceptions around virtual learning within the U.S. We see this as our responsibility to provide an option for U.S. parents who want to give their child an affordable, premier pre-school experience at home.”
The two-hour lessons are offered daily and will eventually include second language immersion just like in Kido schools. Depending upon the age group, parents can expect the average class ratio of 1-to-8 and to include minimal to no parent support. The cost to attend is $350 a month. Kïdo Home is currently enrolling nationwide, and has already seen admissions from all over the country. Parents can sign up for a free trial class by visiting kidohome.net.
