Founders to Present at 21st International Conference on Air and Missile Defense Systems

United States military veterans Michael Unbehauen, Gregory Sloan and Alberto Squatrito today announced the launch of Acamar Analysis and Consulting Ltd., a firm that will provide clients around the world with air and missile defense consulting services. Acamar will offer objective and independent knowledge, expertise and insights gained from the leadership team’s vast international operational experience.

Acamar’s services include threat analysis, feasibility studies, individual consulting, risk management, training development and thought leadership.The team has unique and unmatched operational experience in the fields of air and missile defense and space operations from their decades of service in the military.

The firm also includes a think tank division that will contribute to academia by leading lectures, panel discussions, and seminars, as well as publishing research papers focused on topics associated with air and missile defense. Acamar founder, Unbehauen, will be presenting their most recent publication, “The U.S. Missile Defense Shield and Global Security Destabilization: An Inconclusive Link,” at the 21st International Conference on Air and Missile Defense Systems in Cape Town, South Africa, April 16-17, 2019.

“The field of missile defense affects relations between nations and has a direct impact on millions of people in many ways,” said Unbehauen. “Nevertheless, most people, including decision makers, are either biased or have very little understanding of this complex issue. This topic is too important to rely on half-truths or incorrect facts,” he added. “We are talking about the security of people, financial decisions of enormous impact and geopolitical effects. There needs to be real information and real strategy.”

Acamar’s founders are currently engaged in analysis and developments in air and missile defense operations. The company is independently owned and operated without representation or legal ties to defense contractors or government agencies.

Founder, President, and CEO Michael Unbehauen has held multiple positions serving as an air defense officer in the United States, Germany, Poland, Israel, Kuwait, and Qatar. He is considered one of the most renowned experts in the United States Army on Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) and the AN/TPY-2 (FBM) radar. Unbehauen was commissioned as an Air Defense Artillery Officer in 2007 and is currently engaged as senior instructor for sensor management and C2BMC at the Future Warfare Center of the United States Army Space and Missile Defense School in Colorado Springs.

Gregory Sloan serves as Acamar’s Executive Vice President. He previously worked as an a United States Army Intelligence Officer for Region 9 Homeland Response Force, where he oversaw tracking and analysis of all actual and potential threats including weapons of mass destruction to California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam and various Mariana Islands. He also served as an Intelligence Officer and has been instrumental in studying, maintaining, and providing situational awareness of potential and actual threats to the United States, as well as the threat capabilities of various nations throughout the world.

Alberto Squatrito, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, serves as Chief of Operations and is Acamar’s leadair, space, and missile defense analyst and planner. He is a C2BMCand AN/TPY-2 (Forward Based Mode [FBM]) radar subject matter expert.Squatrito served as a Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) crew member andthe lead evaluator for the 100th Missile Defense Brigade Standardization and Evaluation cell for all AN/TPY-2 (FBM) radar operators worldwide, and their associated Sensor Managers in Sensor Management Cells located in the European, Pacific, and Middle Eastern theaters.
