As spring means baseball and home selling seasons, the Eagle’s Trace Sales Department sports a lineup of professionals ready to go to bat for their new customers.
They are a preferred network of Realtors®, downsizers, stagers and senior move managers with decades of experience in the Houston area…all part of the reality and moving services program of Eagle’s Trace.
“Many of our customers have lived in their houses for more than twenty years so moving can seem overwhelming at first,” stated Pamela Burgeson, Director of Sales for the Erickson Living retirement community in West Houston. “Our goal is to make the entire process stress-free and simple, and we have the resources to make that happen.”
It begins with Haven Benoit. The Personal Moving Consultant at Eagle’s Trace, she schedules complimentary in-home appointments with prospective residents to provide advice on the logistics of moving.
“We discuss the value of staging and downsizing their house so it will sell in the least amount of time with the optimal value,” said Ms. Benoit, a native of Houston with thirteen years of experience as a Realtor. She also holds a Senior Real Estate Specialists® certification.
“One of my favorite parts of the process is showing a future resident the floor plan of their new apartment home and ‘laying out’ their furniture and other valuables that they will take,” she said. “Combined with the expertise of our move managers, it makes for a seamless moving day.”
Ms. Benoit also connects clients to a trusted team of Realtors® who are familiar with not only the Houston housing market but also Eagle’s Trace.
“This is such an advantage for our customers,” said Ms. Benoit, who noted that 90 percent of new residents use some element of the program. “The Realtors® in our network appreciate that this is more than just a contract negotiation. They understand the nuances of moving into a senior living community and treat our new residents as if they were their parents.”
Jon and Nancy Markowski took full advantage of the program. The couple moved to Eagle’s Trace last August from their house of 19 years in Gleannloch Farms.
“There is a natural anxiety level about any move, from the house sale to getting your new home comfortable. I’ve lived across the world and across the country, and Haven made this transition as seamless as possible,” noted Mr. Markowski, a retired physician.
The Markowskis utilized two preferred partners of Eagle’s Trace: Lone Star Transitions, a senior move management company led by Greg and Crystal Drake, and Lisa Hudgens, a real estate professional with Re/Max Northwest based in Spring.
“Our house sold on day one, to visitor one, with offer one. Lisa truly had the listing correct. And on move-in day, we didn’t have to do a thing. Greg and Crystal were great communicators. They were attentive to every detail as we had laid out our furniture and items to the floor plan we selected. We’re now making new friends at Eagle’s Trace, traveling to see grandchildren and celebrating a milestone anniversary,” said Mrs. Markowski.
