A Texas radiology company has purchased Asheville-based MMDS Mobile X-Ray for an undisclosed amount.
National Mobile X-Ray, LLC, in Lakeway, Texas, announced the acquisition of MMDS Mobile X-Ray, which offers services to care providers including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and home health organizations in North Carolina as well as parts of South Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky.
Founded in 2006, the Asheville company’s reach became statewide in 2012.
Both National Mobile X-Ray and MMDS Mobile X-Ray are not limited to digital x-rays. They also offer other health care services including ultrasounds and EKGs.
MMDS Mobile X-Ray also provides vascular access and in-house sleep studies.
Although National Mobile X-Ray already has national contracts throughout the continental United States, the acquisition of MMDS Mobile X-Ray expands the company’s presence in North Carolina.
National Mobile X-Ray’s press release stated, “MMDS customers can expect to continue receiving the high levels of service to which they are accustomed,” and that “they will also begin receiving additional benefits and services as a result of the National Mobile X-Ray platform,” including electronic medical record integration with the Texas company and an accredited radiology group.
