Birmingham

Mr. Archibald has advised clients on public and private projects, including projects administered by the U.S. State Department, the U.S. General Services Administration, and the Army Corps of Engineers. He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending differing site conditions, extra work, delay, acceleration, impact, and inefficiency claims on private and public jobs.

Mr. Lewis represents owners, contractors, subcontractors, developers, and suppliers on a variety of issues arising out of complex commercial construction projects in the private and public sectors.

Mr. Pugh has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, insurers, and sureties throughout the United States. He has advised clients at every stage of a construction project: conception, planning, performance and closeout. His experience includes both private and government construction projects.

Mr. Rogers focuses his practice in complex construction or procurement matters and has been involved in a large number of complex litigation matters in the United States and internationally. He has assisted in negotiations of large construction projects at the front-end, representing owners, lenders, designers and contractors. He also has frequently served as an arbitrator and mediator.

Houston

Office managing partner for the firm’s Texas offices, Mr. Faria has broad experience in construction law, with a focus on megaprojects in all construction disciplines, including infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential construction law.

Jackson, Miss.

Mr. Purdy focuses his practice on construction claims and disputes and on federal procurement law.He represents commercial building contractors throughout the South. He also has represented government contractors across the United States and has handled matters for them in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.

Washington, D.C.

Mr. Patin has an extensive government contracts practice. In particular, he has developed extensive experience in various aspects of government contract law, including federal fraud and False Claims Act issues, bid protests, mediation, and contract dispute litigation with the federal government.

Mr. Symon practices in the areas of construction and government contract law. He assists clients in such matters as protesting government procurement decisions, interpreting the Federal Acquisition Regulation, prosecuting claims under the Contract Disputes Act and insuring compliance with ethical obligations. He has litigated contract disputes throughout the country in federal and state forums in a wide variety of complex construction claims.
