
Texas Tech University Interim Department Chair and Associate Professor David Ernst, M.E., presents recognition plaque to alumna Natalie Harvill, P.E., LEED AP, who is inducted into Texas Tech’s CECE Academy.
JQ is pleased to announce that Natalie Harvill, P.E., LEED AP was inducted into Texas Tech University’s Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering (CECE) Academy at a banquet held April 21, 2017. Ten alumni were inducted, including Harvill who is a Principal with JQ and leads its Lubbock office.
The Academy supports enrichment of the CECE education through the involvement of experienced practicing professionals in the educational process. Alumni who have earned distinction through professional, civic or humanitarian accomplishments are selected for induction into the Academy.
As a structural engineer, Harvill has directed engineering design for more than 300 projects involving diverse applications in the healthcare, education, commercial office and industrial markets in the West Texas region, as well as across the eastern part of the US. Leadership roles have included president and regional director of the South Plains Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) and former board member and past president of the U.S. Green Building Council – West Texas Branch. Harvill mentors other female engineers and was instrumental in developing the Professional Women’s Forum at JQ, as well as her former employer, a well-respected architectural services company in Lubbock.

Harvill earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and is an alumna of Leadership Lubbock. She is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Structural Engineering Institute.
