Polsinelli, an Am Law 100 law firm with a fast-growing presence in Texas, recently named Houston-based shareholder Andrew Weaver as vice chair of the Medical Device/Mechanical Engineering Patent Prosecution practice group within the firm’s recently created Intellectual Property department.

Polsinelli recently established the new IP department after experiencing significant growth in 2016. Enabling the firm to better serve clients, Polsinelli’s elevation of IP to its own service department (making it one of only four departments in the firm) will provide additional resources and create a platform for the firm’s projected investment into IP.
