The Made Man Awards' International Multi-Market Tour Announces Houston Tour Date Ahead of Super Bowl LI

The Made Man Awards is a celebrity red carpet reception and suit drive presented by the Blueprint Global Group and in partnership with the 100 Black Men of America, Black Enterprise, Upscale Magazine, Project Zero Entertainment, and A Few Good Men. This star-studded event honors African American celebrities and influential men making a difference right here in Houston. The 2017 honorees include NFL Super Bowl 50 champion Corey Nelson of the Denver Broncos, Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner, Shareece Wright of the Baltimore Ravens, Kenneth Robinson, Jr. president of 100 Black Men Metropolitan Houston and over 50 more honorees. The reception will include signature drinks by market partner Grand Marnier, live entertainment and a toast to the progressive men in the city that keep raising the bar. The Made Man initiative provides a platform for the influencers to be celebrated, positioned with extensive business networking opportunities like the signature LinkedIN Live and become direct community partners. Honorees are committed to change their city in 24 hours by engaging in motivational mentoring workshops with local schools and youth organizations as well as donating gently worn business attire for the 1000 Suits Empowerment Drive suiting underserved men for success during the event day. The Made Man has donated over 11,000 suits and mentoring over 1,000 males in their respective cities. The men truly embody the altruistic spirit of selfless giving that propels this noteworthy event.

The Made Man Event Houston Programming and Schedule: The Made Man initiatives' 2017 nine-city tour is held in each host city and includes a day-long series of community engagement and programming. The schedule includes the following:

Mentoring Workshops and Impact: Community empowerment mentoring and motivational workshops with the honorees speaking at local schools and community-based organizations.

Press Conference: Press conference with national and local media outlets for The Made Man honorees, partners, and VIP guests.

4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at private location

Honoree Reception: The Made Man honoree red carpet celebrity/influencer reception is a platform to recognize our honorees for their leadership, lifetime achievement in their respective fields of work, social consciousness, and significant contributions to community empowerment. The Made Man honoree reception receives an outstanding turnout of venerable honoree's, guests, and top-tier organizations.
