Growing infrastructure demands spur move to downtown location

Continued growth and commitment to client service have led HNTB to move its operations to a new office space in downtown Houston. The space, located at 1301 Fannin Street, is approximately 14,000 square feet, and will help the firm accommodate future anticipated employee expansion and capacity to serve local clients.

“HNTB’s commitment to Houston is rooted in decades-long service to numerous transportation agencies in the region,” said Mike Voinis, PE, HNTB Houston office leader and vice president. “As these agencies work to expand and enhance Houston’s transportation network for the benefit of commuters and residents, HNTB will continue to provide unmatched resources, expertise and experience in the region.”

HNTB’s Houston office opened in 1979. Since then, HNTB has worked on, or is currently involved with, some of the region’s most high-profile infrastructure projects and programs. HNTB serves as program management consultant on the reconstruction and expansion of U.S. 290, IH 45 North, SH 288 and the Grand Parkway, and also is providing planning and design services for IH45 North and IH10 West in Houston. HNTB also has assisted the Harris County Toll Road Authority with design of the SH 249/Sam Houston Tollway Interchange, the Hardy Toll Road Expansion and the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge.  HNTB also conducted planning for the new international terminal at Bush Intercontinental Airport and served as program manager for the Texas General Land Office’s Disaster Recovery Program after Hurricanes Ike and Rita.
