Work Shield, the only full-service independent solution for reporting, investigating, and resolving harassment and discrimination in the workplace, today announced that it has successfully closed its Series A financing led by Dallas-based Hoak & Co., in partnership with Jeff Estes, and other individual and strategic investors with significant insurance and benefits expertise. The $4.11 million raise will be used to bolster Work Shield’s sales team, further enhance technology, and boost infrastructure to procure new clients and accelerate the company’s development roadmap.

By partnering with Work Shield, employers minimize their liability and employees are empowered to voice issues without fear of retaliation, which improves workplace culture. Work Shield is a benefits-focused, fixed monthly fee per employee service with a track record for producing an attractive return on investment for its clients.

“Our team is excited about the opportunity to expand and continue providing real voices for employees, as well as real protection and guidance for companies to ultimately build positive, safe and sustainable workplace cultures,” Pope said. “The financing will allow us to serve more people and be an actionable, measured solution for companies looking to take a stand against discrimination and harassment in the workplace.”

“The product and team at Work Shield are true standouts in the Human Resources ecosystem,” said Britain Peakes of Hoak & Co. “Work Shield's ability to reach this level of success organically proves its relevance in the marketplace and strength of its solution and client relationships.
