NKF Expands Hospitality, Gaming and Leisure Specialty Practice in Key Markets Across U.S.

12/4/19

Global commercial real estate advisory firm Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) is pleased to announce three senior additions to its Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure (HGL) specialty practice within Valuation & Advisory (V&A). Led by HGL Practice Leader and Executive Vice President Bryan Younge, the practice has established itself as a dominant force in the marketplace, working across a spectrum of intricate assignments. The addition of industry veterans, Chris Remund, John Burke and Jaime Law, enhances the national practice's depth of experience and strong leadership. Remund and Burke will lead the South and Midwest markets, respectively, while Law will focus on Northern California.

"Our assignments cover a diverse and complex range of assets, requiring our team to effectively collaborate and find innovative approaches to clients' challenges," said Younge. "These three seasoned professionals have the extensive expertise in the hospitality, gaming and leisure space and the cooperative spirit that will enable our practice to do just that. We're excited to add John, Jaime and Chris to the team."

Remund is a senior vice president in NKF's Austin office. He has substantial experience with litigation, appraisal and advisory assignments for hotel properties across the United States, Mexico and Canada. He has been working in the industry for nine years and has held positions with LW Hospitality Advisors, HVS and ENGEL Group.

Burke joins NKF's Chicago office as a vice president, bringing more than 10 years of experience in valuation and advisory work for hotels, resorts, amusement and theme parks, family entertainment centers and other leisure-oriented assets. He joins NKF from Hotel & Leisure Advisors, a Cleveland-based hospitality and leisure appraisal and consulting firm.

Law is a first vice president in NKF's San Francisco office. He brings nearly 15 years of experience in real estate valuation, consulting due diligence and market and feasibility studies. He specializes in the hospitality and leisure space and has completed more than $13 billion of assignments for corporate and institutional clients across hotels, resorts, gaming facilities, golf courses and more. He previously worked at Hospitality Link International, Inc., Marcus and Millichap Hospitality Group, HVS, Marriott and Fairmont Hotels.
