Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Ian P. Faria and Jon Paul Hoelscher, partners in the firm’s Houston office, have earned Board Certification for construction law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS).

TBLS certification is a mark of excellence that indicates substantial, relevant experience in a select field of law, as well as demonstrated, and tested, special competence in that area of law.

“We are very proud of Ian and Jon Paul for their accomplishments and leadership in construction law, and we congratulate them on their certification by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization,” said Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan M. Skeeters.

Both Mr. Faria and Mr. Hoelscher are members of Bradley’s Construction Practice Group.

Mr. Faria, who serves as managing partner of the firm’s Houston office, has broad experience in construction law, with a focus on megaprojects in all construction disciplines, including infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential construction law. His extensive trial experience includes conducting jury and bench trials in federal and state court, as well as arbitrations, private and governmental projects throughout Texas and other jurisdictions. He represents developers, general contractors, subcontractors, homebuilders, and business owners in a variety of disputes, as well as in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and investigation matters.

Mr. Hoelscher focuses his practice on advising clients in the construction, energy, and oil and gas industries. He often represents general contractors, subcontractors, oil field service companies, product and equipment manufacturers, and property owners and developers in a wide range of transactional and litigation matters. His litigation practice includes the defense and prosecution of general and complex commercial disputes, lien, bond and delay claims, OSHA investigations and appeals, oil field and energy litigation, product liability, and construction defect litigation.

Established by the State Bar of Texas, the TBLS certifies attorneys in 24 select areas of law and is the only organization authorized to provide this service to the citizens of Texas. Mr. Faria and Mr. Hoelscher are two of the 111 board certified lawyers for construction law of the state’s more than 100,000 attorneys.
