Lynnwood, WA based Transblue to Expand by Selling Franchises

12/18/18

Transblue, a Washington-based construction firm founded in 2004 and serving the needs of a national client base, will expand its model by offering franchising opportunities.

Dave Wescott, Transblue founder, said that his company is working with the Hingham, MA franchising firm McGrow Consulting to prepare for this next step in the firm’s growth. He anticipates offering the first franchises for sale before the end of 2018. Initially launched as a local construction and landscaping company, Transblue has expanded nationally and posted sales in excess of $12 million this past year. Transblue works with some of the largest Fortune 500 companies in the world and has developed a network of more than 7000 partners and contractors nationwide.

Wescott says that the franchising model was developed with the small business owner in mind. A franchisee can begin with a small operation, using an office or warehouse and a single owner/field technician. “As the individual business builders, key staff additions will include a sales representative, project manager, and procurement specialist,” he said, noting, “Our training system will prepare each Transblue franchisee to deliver the very best in complete general construction and customer satisfaction.”

Transblue transitioned its business model from local to one that is national in nature, relying upon thoroughly-vetted subcontractors to perform and deliver the requested services that Transblue contracts with them to perform. Franchisees will offer general contracting and commercial maintenance for local residents and businesses, and their efforts will be supported by the know-how and reputation of a national company with nearly fifteen years’ industry experience. Services will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Concrete work
  • Decks
  • Retaining walls
  • Asphalt paving
  • Snow removal
  • De-icing
  • Snow plowing
  • Construction

“This business offers services very much in demand,” Wescott said, noting that homeowners are increasingly seeking to improve the look and feel of their properties.

Transblue has named Vince Ortiz as Director of Franchising Development. He can be reached at ortizv@transblue.org, 425-233-8609. Additional information about the franchising opportunity can be found by visiting http://transbluefranchise.com.

Wescott added, “We are thrilled to be able to make this offer through franchising. Transblue has been a journey of a lifetime for me and I can’t wait to share it with others. I encourage anyone with an interest in learning more to give us a call and let’s have a no-obligation conversation.”
