DLA Piper partner Carey Gunn Venditti, head of the firm's Austin Real Estate practice, has been selected as District Council Chair for ULI Austin (ULI Austin is the Austin District Council of the Urban Land Institute). She is the first woman selected as District Council Chair for ULI Austin and will serve a two-year term.

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is a non-advocacy, global, member-driven organization comprising nearly 40,000 real estate and urban development professionals dedicated to advancing the Institute's mission of providing leadership in the responsible use of land and creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. ULI Austin was founded in 1999. Today, ULI Austin includes over 750 Austin-area industry professionals, committed to member dialogue and engaging programming to explore local issues of urbanization, transportation, affordable housing, responsible growth, land use and sustainable development practices.

Venditti, who has been practicing for 25 years, concentrates her practice on real estate finance, development and investments, acquisition, disposition and leasing transactions. She represents national and international investors and national, regional and local developers and owners in commercial, multifamily, office, retail, mixed-use, planned community and condominium projects.
