Ducran focuses his practice on a range of legal matters, including litigation, risk management, and resolution of complex construction claims. His clients include owners, contractors, developers, designers, and architects—many whom rank among the industry’s leading firms.A skilled risk manager and legal advisor, Ducran works closely with contractors and other construction industry members to provide counsel on the avoidance of potential disputes in future or ongoing construction projects. He offers extensive experience in contract risk assessment for major construction projects, including preparing and negotiating contracts and implementing innovative solutions to limit legal and financial exposure.

Prior to joining Peckar & Abramson, Ducran served as General Counsel and Vice President of Satterfield &Pontikes Construction, Inc., an ENR 400 general contractor. In this capacity, he advised the directors and executive team on daily risk assessment, and managed the firm’s legal affairs and risk management. Under his direction, the firm reduced overall litigation and arbitrationin large part by handling the majority of matters in-house, saving millions of dollars.
