Jeff Hall
Jeff Hall, CAE, the executive vice president of the Houston Apartment Association, will receive the Texas Apartment Association’s Association Executive of the Year Award in Fort Worth April 29 during the association’s annual Education Conference & Lone Star Expo.
Hall was nominated for the award by Houston Apartment Association (HAA) 2016 President Alison Hall, CAPS, CPM, the Contact Center Director for Camden. (Note: Alison Hall is not related to Jeff Hall.) HAA is one of 25 local apartment associations affiliated with the Texas Apartment Association (TAA).
TAA has presented this award since 1993 to an outstanding chief executive of one of TAA’s local affiliated apartment associations. Hall also received this honor in 2005 and in 2007. He earned his Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 1998.
Hall has been HAA’s Executive Vice President for 14 years, having previously served as the association’s Director of Government Affairs for two years and as Vice President and General Manager for sixteen years. In 2016 HAA earned membership development recognition from TAA and the National Apartment Association, and participation at all HAA events achieved record levels during the year.
In addition, the association contributed $25,000 to the Mayor’s City of Houston Storm Relief Fund after last spring’s major floods, and recruited more than 25 HAA member companies to contribute $150,000 more to the effort. The association and its members also supported the Houston Police Foundation’s Body Armor Vest campaign and Camp Hope, a project of the PTSD Foundation headquartered in Houston.
The Texas Apartment Association is a trade association representing rental housing owners, managers and companies that supply services to the rental housing industry. The Austin-based association has more than 11,000 members who own or manage more than 2 million rental housing units in Texas. TAA has 25 local affiliated associations in markets around the state.
