Houston’s most respected and successful commercial real estate brokers were recognized during the 29th annual NAIOP Broker of the Year Awards at River Oaks Country Club. The awards are given each year by NAIOP Houston, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, to individuals who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, community involvement, and generate the highest value of real estate transactions within the Houston tenant representation lease profession. This year, CBREs Brandon Clarke and Patrick Rollins received the Office Broker of the Year and Industrial Broker of the Year awards, respectively.

Office Broker of the Year winner, Brandon Clarke, Executive Vice President at CBRE, has an extensive career providing real estate consulting, brokerage services, lease negotiation and build-to-suit strategies to corporate users of office space. Clarke has managed transactions for a diverse set of clientele, including Oxy, ConocoPhillips, Direct Energy, Technip, Spectra Energy, Andrews & Kurth, United Airlines, Calpine Corporation and Porter & Hedges, among many others. Clarke has accumulated many honors over his career including the prestigious CBRE Houston Top Producer for five consecutive years.
Industrial Broker of the Year, Patrick Rollins, Senior Vice President at CBRE, specializes in both owner and occupier representation, and over the course of his career has successfully negotiated over $750,000 million in lease transactions, design-build transactions, land sales and investment sales. Rollins was named the DCT Industrial Trust – Power Broker and a Houston Business Journal Heavy Hitter in 2013.
In addition to the winners, the finalists for the Office Broker of the Year award were Kevin Snodgrass and Joe Peddie of Cushman & Wakefield, while David Munson of Boyd Commercial and Jim Foreman of Cushman & Wakefield, were the finalists for the Industrial Broker of the Year award.
NAIOP Houston also recognized Industrial and Office Rising Stars Jake Wilkinson and Wyatt McCulloch with NAI Partners and CBRE, respectively. The winners of the Rising Star award are determined using similar criteria as the Broker of the Year Award, but awarded to young professionals with five years or less of commercial real estate experience.
CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield were also recognized for noteworthy transactions in 2016. The Industrial Deal of the Year award was presented to CBREs Patrick Rollins, Joseph Smith and Ed Frantz for their involvement in the acquisition of 188 acres for Magellan Midstream Partners in Pasadena, TX.
The Office Deal of the Year went to Tim Relyea and Kevin Snodgrass with Cushman & Wakefield for their work in assisting the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) lease its new Class-A headquarters at CityPlace 2.
