Terry and Chad Gassaway, area franchise owners and father and son team, selected Mission 22 to help the nonprofit continue raising awareness and enlisting support to end veteran suicide in America.
"We're extremely proud to work with Mission 22 for the Smashburger-Colony opening celebration," said Terry Gassaway, owner. "Giving back to those who serve is a priority for Smashburger and for our family. It's an honor to join this nationwide campaign, working to better the lives of those who serve and end veteran suicide overall. Supporting this great nonprofit adds to the excitement for our official opening celebration. We look forward to meeting community members and having an exciting, family-fun day of activities and delicious food.”
At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100-percent fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef®, smashed on a 400-degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, the delicious burgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses, and the highest quality sauces and condiments.
Adding to its diverse menu, Smashburger also offers a wide selection of other entrees, including tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, black bean burgers, fresh-tossed signature salads, kids' meals, and a variety of irresistible sides, including rosemary and garlic seasoned Smashfries, fried pickles, Haystack Onions and Veggie Frites (carrot sticks and green beans). The restaurant will also serve a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including local beers and hand-spun Häagen-Dazs® shakes.
