David Thibodeaux will move to investment sales after 19 years with CBRE’s valuation and financial consulting practices
CBRE announces that David Thibodeaux has joined CBRE Capital Markets as First Vice President, focused on investment property acquisitions and dispositions on behalf of private investors.
Based in Austin, Mr. Thibodeaux will team with Logan Reichle on investment property transactions, concentrating on office, industrial and retail sales.
“My role at CBRE has evolved into a consultant and advisory capacity, and this is the natural next step. Moving into investment sales allows me more flexibility to better serve our clients and help them make good financial decisions,” said Mr. Thibodeaux.
A 19-year veteran of the firm, Mr. Thibodeaux was formerly a managing director with CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) team. Mr. Thibodeaux established the firm’s VAS practice in Central Texas in 2000 and has provided consulting, review and appraisal services for a vast array of properties and development projects throughout Central and West Texas. Additionally, he has provided expert witness testimony in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, as well as various county district courts. Prior to 2000, he was director of CBRE’s Financial Consulting Group providing consultation to brokers, financial institutions and corporate clients in various lease and sale negotiations and with pricing determinations on private and institution grade commercial assets.
“As more and more clients look to David for his advisory expertise, it’s the right time to bring him over to the Capital Markets side to better serve our clients. His depth of experience and consultative nature will enhance our capabilities in Central Texas,” said Scott Senese, Senior Managing Director of CBRE’s Central Texas region.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Lamar University and holds a MAI designation.
