
Dana Walters
MYCON General Contractors announced today the promotion of Dana Walters to vice president of business development, according to Doug Talley, MYCON’s president.
In her new position, Walters will be responsible for leading staff, formulating building project pursuit strategies and developing long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients and industry groups. Her focus will be identifying new business opportunities in the retail, office, industrial, religious and mixed-use market sectors.
“We look forward to Dana’s continued contributions in driving the growth of our company. She is integral to our leadership team, and this promotion is very well-deserved,” said Talley.
Since joining MYCON in 2004 as director of business development, Walters has helped to secure several national clients for the company, including Best Buy, Gander Mountain, IKEA, LA Fitness, Kroger, Simon Property Group and Walmart, among others.
Walters has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and has held many leadership and membership positions in professional industry groups, among them: the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) - North Texas District Council, and The Real Estate Council (TREC).
