Michael V. Abcarian, Teresa S. Valderrama and Bob Kilgore Have Been Selected for this Honor
Fisher Phillips announced today that three Texas attorneys have been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2017®: Michael V. Abcarian in Dallas,Teresa S. Valderramain Houston, and Bob Kilgore in San Antonio. Fisher Phillips is a national management-side labor and employment law firm.
Abcarian, the managing partner of the Dallas office, has been included on The Best Lawyers in America list for six consecutive years. He has more than 35 years of experience in all phases of labor and employment law and has represented employers in hundreds of lawsuits in federal and state courts across the country in matters ranging from large class actions to individual plaintiff cases. Abcarian, who has not lost a lawsuit in more than 20 years, appears frequently before federal agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, the National Labor Relations Board, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
This marks the 15th consecutive year that Valderrama, a Houston-office partner, has been honored. Over her 27-year career, Valderrama has assisted employers in all aspects of workplace law, from internal corporate investigations to courtroom defense of class actions and discrimination claims. Valderrama’s experience includes the business side of employment disputes, such as trade secret litigation and employee defections, and defense of whistleblower claims. However, Valderrama likes to say that her “best” work happens behind-the-scenes to keep her clients out of court. Valderrama is one of only two women ranked by Chambers USA in its top tier of Texas employment practitioners.
It is the third consecutive year that Kilgore has received this recognition. For more than 30 years, he has successfully represented Texas employers in claims involving discrimination, benefits, compensation and non-competes/trade secrets. This includes federal and state court litigation and administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, United States Department of Labor, and Texas Workforce Commission.
In addition to the Texas attorneys,83other Fisher Phillips attorneys were selected for this honor. The attorneys were honored for their labor and/or employment work. To view thefull list of the firm’s honorees click here.
