HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mercury Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in entrepreneurs and innovation that originate in the middle of the U.S., today announced the hiring of Jackie Pfister as Marketing Coordinator. Ms. Pfister, the first marketing hire for Mercury, will support the firm’s investment team in their marketing and branding efforts in order to promote thought leadership and relevant industry-related content. Ms. Pfister will also work with Mercury’s portfolio companies in helping them reach their branding, marketing and PR goals.

Hosted in March 2016, the SaaS CXO Summit attracted startup executives, venture capitalists and subject matter experts to Austin, TX, for two days of presentations, networking and sharing best practices. “Industry-wide there has been a movement for investors to provide more operational portfolio support, and Mercury Fund is enthusiastic about our new marketing capabilities,” said Garrou.
Prior to Mercury, Jackie worked as a business analyst at Trenegy, a Houston based management consulting firm. Her experience focused on project management, change management and organizational design. Jackie received her BA in Communication with a minor in Business Administration at Texas A&M University in College Station.
