HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atwell, LLC is pleased to welcome Ken Jamal Malik to its team as Team Leader. Based in Atwell’s Houston office, Ken will be responsible for leading and providing technical guidance to a team of engineers, reviewing scope documents, preparing proposals and estimates, performing quality control reviews of design packages and coordinating design efforts with clients through project completion.
Malik brings more than 12 years of experience in providing electrical engineering and project management in the power delivery and renewable energy space. He specializes in electrical substation design & engineering, relay protection, and control & PV/battery storage. His previous experience includes working with utilities, designing relay and SCADA schemes for 69kV to 500kV substations, and most recently as a senior project engineer, providing technical oversight and coordination for multiple-disciplinary engineering associated with the design of renewables projects.
Malik is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in power engineering, generation, transmission and distribution engineering. He graduated from Louisiana State University with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering, is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a registered professional engineer in eight states.
