
Mark Penny
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, announced it hired Mark Penny as General Manager for Dallas. Mr. Penny will be responsible for partnering with Dallas COO Mark Reed and the operations and functional teams to expand Suffolk’s presence in Texas and drive the region’s business planning and development, market analysis and talent recruitment efforts.

Prior to joining the Suffolk Dallas team, Mr. Penny served as the head of construction in the Central and Rocky Mountain regions for Katerra Construction, where he was responsible for all projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Colorado. Mr. Penny worked for Manhattan Construction Company in Dallas for 15 years where he provided leadership, strategy and direction while managing a team of operations, preconstruction and business development resources in the region.
Mr. Penny has a wealth of experience leading teams on complex, sophisticated community-shaping projects in the Dallas area, such as the Dallas Cowboys new stadium project in Arlington, TX, the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the Southern Methodist University Dallas campus, and Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport’s $1 billion terminal renovation. He has held leadership positions in the areas of business development, operational efficiencies, preconstruction, employee training and engagement, client satisfaction and project management in the aviation, corporate, retail, residential and sports sectors.
Mr. Penny is a credentialed DBIA professional, and was named to D Magazine’s Dallas 500 as one of the region’s most powerful business leaders, and has been heavily involved in mentor programs and chapters in the Southwest region.
