HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) Houston Announces New Board of Directors with Mike Ecklund, Principal of Morningside Capital at the helm.

The chapter represents 151 business owners with 4,356 employees and median Sales of $2.58M in the Houston area. EO Houston is part of the global organization with 13,000+ members, 4.1 million employees in 193 chapters worldwide across 60 countries and median Sales in the US of $5.0 million per year.

The nonprofit offers entirely confidential monthly forum group meetings allowing members to freely experience share about their businesses and personal lives. An accelerator program provides coaching, learning events, and startups’ with various resources for early-stage entrepreneurs that have revenue between $250,000 and $1 million that want to scale their business to the $1 million revenue mark and beyond; a mentorship and an awards program entitled Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) to support undergraduate student entrepreneurs who need mentorship and recognition to further scale their business. The global competition allows undergraduate students who own a business to compete with their peers in a series of local and/or national competitions that could lead to qualifying for the finals. GSEA globally receives over 1,500 nominations and awards over $250,000 in prizes in both regional and global competition.

To qualify for membership, EO requires potential applicants to be the owner, founder or majority stakeholder of a business earning at least $1 million in revenue each fiscal year.
