Industry Veteran Takes Helm of Management Arm Of the Nation’s 12th Largest Off-Campus Student Housing Provider

Jim Sholders is spearheading an executive team of top student housing professionals for Campus, Life & Style (“CLS”), the newly-formed management division of Vesper Holdings, LLC, the 12th largest owner/manager of off-campus housing communities in the United States. In this new position, he oversees an executive staff based out of CLS’ Austin, TX headquarters, and site staff currently for 9,000 beds in 15 properties, across 10 states.

Campus Life & Style was launched in 2015 to operate the Vesper Holdings student housing portfolio. During Mr. Holdings’ tenure with CLS, the firm transitioned more than 9,000 beds within a three-month period. In addition, the 2016 pre-leasing jumped to 98 percent from the previous year’s 90 percent record, with revenue growth in excess of seven percent.

A recognized leader in student housing, Mr. Sholders has spent 27 years in the industry. Prior to joining CLS, he worked for American Campus Communities for 14 years; serving as Senior Vice President of Management Services from 2005. During that period, he was responsible for the overall fiscal operations, asset management, leasing and personnel supervision for 170 properties with approximately 3,400 employees.

Mr. Sholders received his bachelor’s degree in Education and History from West Virginia University. He is married with two children.
